Marjan Teachers

All teachers at Marjan are certified in different branches of knowledge, sciences of the Quran and socialized tajweed poems. Many of the teachers have Ijazah in recitation of the Quran with Haffs and/or other Qiraat.

Misbah Mashkoor 
She has completed teacher’s training for Tajweed under Marjan Programs. Prior to that, she  studied Qaida Nooraniyah and Tajweed classes at Markaz Maryam in Doha.  

For Arabic Grammar, she has benefited from multiple institutes including Islamic Online University, Markaz Maryam, Bayyinah Institute and Marjan Programs. 

Currently, she is working with students practice tajweed rules in recitation for courses arranged by Marjan Programs. She is motivated to learn and teach sciences of Quran to non native speakers of Arabic بإذن الله تعالى

Sister Bishara Junaid
Originally from India, She is a  mother of three  living in Qatar for the past 20 years .

She completed  studying Tajweed Rules of Hafs at Markaz Maryam Ibnata Imran, Qatar and later completed The Tajweed Teachers Training  under Usthadhah Samar Al-Mawy. 

Have been learning and  teaching tajweed for the past 3 years. 

Currently she is memorizing the Quran and studying for Ijaza in some Tajweed poems.

She joined the Marjan team in July 2020.

Sister Zahura Ibrahim

She is a  Malaysian, mother of three  residing in Qatar since 2007. She is Chemical Engineer by profession . 

Sister Zahura completed  studying The Tajweed Rules of Hafs at Markaz Maryam Ibnata Imran, Doha and has done the level one Tajweed Teachers Training . She  continues pursuing her Quran study online under Work for Hereafter Group and obtained her Ijazah in Tajweed Rules Course in Shu’ba and Hafs an Assem by Sheykha Marwa in 2019 and later in January 2020 she completed the full rules of Tajweed Teachers Training  under Sis Samar Al-Mawy. SRecently, she obtained her Ijazah in full recitation of Quran in Hafs from Al Firdaus Program. 

Besides memorizing the Quran, she has been learning and  teaching tajweed, she also continues to pursue her Studies in Ilm Tawheed , Arabic, Seerah and Islamic Studies from different Marakiz in Doha and online . For the past 2 years she was given the responsibility as Deputy of Principal in Kafa ( Malaysian Weekend Islamic Class) in Doha under the supervision of Abdullah in Zaid Center (Fanar), after volunteering as a teacher for the past 10 years . 

She joined the Marjan team in 24th July 2020.

Sister Muzammila  Fareen, 

Born and raised in Chennai, India is an electronics and communication Engineer. Having worked as a software Engineer for a while, later developed an interest to seek knowledge in quran and its sciences. 

She holds an ijaza in the poem of al-muqaddimatul jazariyyah.  She has been supporting  Abdullah Ibn Masood Primary school (a non profit organisation)  as she has been trained in Noorul Bayan curriculum , to teach tajweed for primary children  with tahjee. She has also trained teachers with the same. 

 Sister Muzammila has worked  at a-weekend Islamic school for muslim children who study in a non-Islamic school, teaching them quran recitation and islamic studies with fun activities to suit the audience. She has also conducted Islamic summer camps for children in the same way.  

She’s always been fascinated by the Arabic language and acquired knowledge from books such as durusul lughatil arabiyya, al tareeq ila arabiyya and al arabiyya bayna yadayk. She is also studying  arabic courses from Marjan namely Ajroumiyya, dorar ul bayan.  

Currently, she is working in marjan and teaching students online in courses namely Ajraan (tajweed course), Marhaba and Maqra’a.

Sister Ayesha Fatima

She has a Diploma in Islamic Education from Al-Huda International in Pakistan. After moving to Qatar, she completed the Teacher’s Training Course for Tajweed at Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zaid Centre. Following this, she received Ijazah in Qaidah Nouraniyah (with 98%) and is working for Ijazah in Qiraat Biriwaya Kisaey and Hafs under Whion Youha Academy. In 2019, with Markaz Ahmed Bin Ali, she completed all levels of Tajweed Biriwaya Hafs. For Arabic Grammar, she benefited from several institutes, which include Bayyinah Institute, Marjan Programs, and Markaz Maryam Binte Imran in Doha. She also has experience of teaching Qur’an to students of different age groups and includes institutions such as Al-Huda (Qatar), Abdullah Bin Zaid Centre and at Marjan Programs.

Sister Nazia has studied Tajweed in Markaz Maryam and Firdaws Program. She has got her certificate as a Qaida Nourania teacher from Markaz Maryam and later completed her Teacher Training Program from the Marjan Group. She has also completed her 3 years of Quranic Arabic from Markaz Maryam and currently doing I’raab and Arabic Grammar with a Certified teacher.

   Sister Nazia is a graduate in Corporate Secretaryship from India, settled in Qatar since more than 15 years. She helped some friends learn Basic Tajweed rules and corrected their Juz A’mma. Currently, she is a teacher in Maqraa for the Marjan Group.

Sister Aanisha Imthiyas

A Sri Lankan sister residing in Saudi Arabia.

She studied Tajweed. 

Sister Aanisha has completed memorization of the Book of Allah, the Qur’an.  

She has taught a few Tajweed lessons through online platforms.

Sister Aisha Siddique

Sister Aisha Siddique has been settled in Doha Qatar. Academically she is a post graduate in International Relations. 

She is a student of memorisation. She is certified as Quran recitation and Memorization teacher from Ministry of Awqaf Doh Qatar. 

Currently Teaching Quran Recitation and Memorisation different age group kids, ages 7 to 9 years old girls and 12 to 16 years old girls in well known Quran centre Qatar in Non Arab department . She has Quran Teacher training certificate from Ahmed Bin Ali Quran Centre Qatar. She finished her Hafs recitation (with tajweed Theory) Khatima with two different Quran centres in Qatar. She is holding Ijaza Muqadamah Jazariya with tajweed theory. Holding certificate for Qaida Duroos Hijayah conducted at Hamad Bin Khalid Qatar . 

Sister Aisha has done volunteer job for four years to teach Quran word-to-word translation and tafseer to ladies ages 30 to 50 yrs old in Abdullah Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Centre Fanar Qatar, and Teaching Tajweed Theory as well to ladies Age group 30 to 40 yrs. 

She is teaching online Islamic Studies as well to different age groups kids

7 to 10 and 12 to 14 yrs. She has leading qualities.

Sister Aneesa Fathima 

Aneesa Fathima has recently joined us in an administrative capacity. Based in India, by education, she is an MBA graduate but she started on her journey for her contribution to Islam 7 years ago. She commenced her journey by focusing on Tajweed and thereon branched out her learning into various other areas. She received her Ijazah in Jazariyah and when her passion for learning the Arabic language grew, she further pursued her study by completing courses from a reputed Madrassah and is currently enrolled in their Advanced Arabic course. She is also an Admin in various courses and uses her capabilities to guide students in choosing courses that best suits their needs, as well as providing guidance to them in choosing their courses

She has taught in numerous online courses for Arabic language, focusing on Tajweed, Arabic Grammar and Arabic Conversation to students based in countries around the world, ranging from young girls for 15 years to women of 50 years of age.

Sister Dian Kartika 

Sister Dian is Indonesian but currently living in Qatar. She is a Pharmacist who is passionate about studying and teaching everything that is related to the Quran. She has over 5 years experience of teaching Qaeeda Nooraniyah Soodiyah to 20-40 years old ladies, and about 2 years experience of teaching Tajweed Rules in Riwayah Hafs to 30-50 years old ladies, in English and Indonesian Language.

Regarding her qualifications, She has completed the full course of Tajweed Theory at Markaz Maryam Ibnata Imran, Qatar (2012 – 2017), and also took Arabic and Quranic Arabic Classes. She has completed the Tajweed Teacher Training Program at Marjaan (2019 – 2020) and took course of Usoul Riwayah Shubah and Waqf Ibtida Course. To improve her recitation, She is still attending a recitation class privately and  has been attending memorization classes, some at a center and some privately since 2013.

Sister Diny Fidyany Ely

Sister Diny is a certified teacher of Qaida Nooraniya, Tajweed & Quran recitation.  She gained her qualifications from Maryam Ibnata Imran Center and Ahmad Bin Ali Center in Qatar. She is an Indonesian residing in Qatar and  has been teaching Qaida Nooraniya, tajweed and Quran recitation to children, teenagers and adults for several years  (online and classroom based) both in English and in her native language. In Marjan, she is teaching the Maqraa and Sanam Course.

Sister Diny is a graduate from University of Indonesia with a BA in Japanese studies. She started teaching from a young age by giving English tuition for children when she was in high school. In her university days, she used to give Indonesian language tuition for Japanese workers in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Sister Faiza Rehman Mujahid

Sister Faiza is a Computer Science graduate. While she is still in-the-know of her computational field, she has diversified her interests and passion. Being in Qatar for 15 years, she has build up a portfolio as an avid student of Quranic sciences and a dedicated teacher.

She is a certified teacher from two esteemed institutes in Doha; of Tajweed from Ahmad bin Ali Center of Quranic Sciences and of Duroos al-Hijaiah (Qaida Qataria) from Hamad bin Khalid Center Doha, Qatar.

Along with this, she has obtained an Ijazah in Muqaddimah al-Jazariyyah and in the rules of Tajweed for Qira’at of A’asim (Hafs and Shu’bah) with exceptional performance.

Her passion for Qiraat led her to undertake a diploma is Usool al-Qiraat which she completed receiving high commendation from the teachers. 

While achieving these certificates, she has been doing Tahfeez and has memorised seven Ajza so far. 

At present, she is undertaking Ijazah in the recitation (Riwayah of Hafs an Aasim) from Ahmad bin Ali Center.

To satisfy her desire and passion of teaching and learning she has been working as a volunteer at Abdullah Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center (Fanar) as a teacher of correction of recitation (ladies group: age 30-50). 

In addition, she is responsible for teaching Tajweed (ladies age 20-30) and Tahfeez ul Quran (children age 6-12). 

She is also involved with Marjan as a teacher assistant for Usool of Qira’at and a teacher of recitation and tajweed.

With this, she is a member of Exam Board for Tajweed and Qira’at courses at Marjan.

Alongside these achievements and activities, she has been doing an online self-study course to expand her knowledge in tafseer of Quran with root word analysis, meanings and grammar.

Sister Khadeeja Shareena 

She’s from India ,Mangalore , residing in qatar for the past 14 yrs . She is a dentist by profession . 

She finished all levels of Tajweed Studies in Hafs an Assem at Markaz Maryam and presently doing her hifz and reciting for Ijaza . 

She is Certified by Furqan center Jeddah KSA to teach Qaida Nooraniya (Saudi).

She has done teachers training for level one tajweed at markaz Maryam Ibnata Imran and completed the Teachers Training Program for all levels of tajweed conducted by Sis Samar Al-Mawy . 

She also  studied  Arabic grammar at the same markaz and completed all three levels of the Access program for Arabic  grammer conducted by Bayyinah institute .

She Has been teaching working ladies Qaida Nooraniya and tajweed for past 6 yrs .

She joined Marjan in July 2020.

Sister Mazlina Sanad, 

also known as Sister Lina Sanad is a Malaysian from Klang, Selangor.  She is a wife and a mother of 5 children.

She obtained her Degree in Law [LL.B (Hons)]  from International Islamic University Malaysia, reading both Islamic Law and Civil Law. Then she pursued MBA (Finance) from University of Arkansas at Little Rock, USA. She was admitted to the Malaysian Bar Council as an Advocate and Solicitor in January 1997. With the combined knowledge of Law and Finance, Sister Lina has gained experience serving in managerial positions in the Corporate Finance field in a private firm and a regulatory body in Malaysia.

Her passion in pursuing Al-Quranic courses arises from her love of the Islamic Law subjects, particularly the Islamic Criminal Law, Islamic Family Law and the Islamic Law of Inheritance (Faraid). With her husband’s blessings, she pursued her studies and obtained Certification on Tajweed (Basic) from Selangor Islamic Religious Department, a regulatory authority. In her quest to obtain Teaching Al-Quran Certification from the aforesaid, in sha Allah, Sister Lina is pursuing her studies at the Selangor State Mosque in Malaysia in both Tajweed (Advanced) and Arabic Language, and also at the Nasyrul Quran Academy. 

Sister Lina also attends the Teachers’ Training Program and has studied Qaida Noorania and Jazariyyah Poem under the guidance of Sister Samar Al Mawy, the founder of Marjan Institute. The programs were conducted in Malaysia, in collaboration with The Restu Foundation Malaysia. 

Alhamdulillah, Sister Lina has completed khatma Al-Quran based on Riwayah Haffs an `Asim with Sheikh Abdullah Sobhi Marei.

Sister Lina teaches children, teenagers and adults in reciting Al-Quran on-site and via online. She also serves her community via her active involvement in Masjid Jamek Ar-Rahimiah (her local Masjid), as the Program Coordinator for several educational programs and programs to promote mosque events, giving the community multiple reasons to visit, engendering loyalty.

At Marjan Institute, Sister Lina participates as a recitation teacher for Maqraa Haffs and Sanaam programs. In addition, Sister Lina also volunteers herself as Marjan Programs Admin, applying her past working and volunteering experience to serve Marjan with full dedication. Trusting the importance of teamwork, Sister Lina and other Marjan Program Admins ensure the implementation of the goals set by Marjan’s Management are done with efficacy in order to achieve the vision and mission of the Marjan Institute. 

Other than the above,  Sister Lina is a cake decorating specialist. She owns a business i.e.  Lina’s Little Cottage, and receives orders for wedding cakes and sculpted cakes with special effects. Her works can be viewed at Instagram: linaslittlecottage and krazy_cake_lady.

Sister Noor’aini Abd Hamid

Sister Noor’aini is a Malaysian from Penang. 

She holds a Bachelor of Human Science in Psychology from International Islamic University, Malaysia. 

She started teaching a One-to-One personal Qur’an recitation classes on a full-time basis since 2017. She has obtained Teaching Al-Quran Certification from the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department, a regulatory authority. She teaches women and kids for the beginner to intermediate level. 

She is currently doing Ijazaa in the Riwayah Hafs ’an Assem by the Way of Ash-Shatibiyyah. 

Apart from study Tajweed, she also study arabic.

She joined on-site Marjan Teacher Training Programme starting December 2018 and starts serving Marjan institute via online in August 2020.

Sister Sareena Athimannil

Sister Sareena’s education background is summarized in the following:

Sister Sareena is the Director of Retrace Innovative Movement for Women, Kerala – India. Which has currently more than 12000 ladies and girls as students in various courses and training programs.

Sister Shamshad Khan

Sister Shamshad is a student and preacher of Islam. She is based in Mumbai (India) and graduated with a Bachelorette degree in Arts from Mumbai University, India. She is calm, ambitious and has a logical approach towards problem solving. She is keen to learn and seek Islamic knowledge. She has secured an Ijaza in Al Qaidah Nooraniyah from Dar ul Furqan and an Ijazah in Jazariyyah. 

She has completed three levels of Tajweed in Arabic and also completed levels Nada ul Quloob and Gaythul Quloob from Azharul Jannah.

Moreover, she has completed a teachers training Course from Salmah Bint Jazariyyh and is a Certified Aalima. She has completed the study of Usoul of Shubah An Aasim in Marjan. 

Currently, she is now pursuing her Ijazah in sanad along the way of Hafs & Shubah. 

Alhamdulillah, she has twenty years of experience in teaching Quran, Tajweed and Tafseer and is now happy to be a part of Marjan Programs.

Sister Shazia Ismail

Her name is Shazia Ismail, originally, she is from Pakistan, living in Qatar for past 19 years. 

She is certified in word-to-word translation of Quran and tafseer, Qaida Noorania (Saudi and Qatari), funeral rites, theory in Qiraat of Imam Shu’bah and imam Kisaie. She also attended several courses like waqaf and ibtidaa, aqeedah wasatiyah, basic of Arabic grammar, Magic or evil eye and its cure, uloom ul Quran, lesson plans and implementing etc.

She has completed teachers training in Qatari Qaida Noorania and Tajweed theory.

She is holding Ijazah in poem of the Imam Jazariyah.

Still, she is in the journey of learning Quran in hifz, qiraat, grammar and other subjects. 

She has been teaching tajweed and tafseer since 4 to 5 years to teenager girls and ladies live and online. Currently she is a teacher of Marjan group.

Sister SHAZIRAH ISMAIL

Sister Shazirah holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from University Technology Malaysia and Masters in Applied Statistics from University Malaya. She worked in the field of Risk Management for 10 years.

She has 5 years of experience in teaching Qur’an recitation with a proper Tajweed. She focuses teaching adults & elderly. She also had a minimum experience in the teaching reverts starting from scratch.

She has an Ijazaa in Jazariyyah and currently doing Ijazaa in the Riwayah Hafs ’an Assem by the Way of Ash-Shatibiyyah. 

Besides teaching the recitation of the Qur’an, she also involves in social support in her community in order to support their special needs, financial constraints and others. This is not limited to local communities but also migrants & refugees.

Apart from study Tajweed, she also studying »rabic and doing memoriظation. 

She joined on-site Marjan Teacher Training Program starting December 2018 and starts serving Marjan institute via online in August 2020.

Sister Sumarah Rachmat 

Sister Sumarah is originally from Indonesia and now living in Doha Qatar.

She has graduated as an accountant .

She is certified teacher of Qaidah Nourania (Saudi and Qatari) and certified in Tajweed rules in Shu’ba and Hafs ‘an Assim 

Sister Sumarah is learning Quranic Arabic, Recitation and Memorization Quran in Maryam center Doha.

She joined the Teachers Training Program by Marjan. She is in progress of studying mattan al muqodimah al Jazariyah.

Sister Suniza Hassan 

Sister Suniza is residing in Malaysia. A recitation teacher for Maqraa and Sanaam Programs in Marjan.

She holds the following teaching experience:

• A teacher at Tahsin Bestari Quranic Centre (30 – 60 years old students)
• Personal Quran Teacher since 2018.
• Guiding colleagues in Qiraat 10 for compilation and arrangement of verses.
• Tajweed class for teenagers.

Being a passionate learner – studying is the hobby.

At the moment, she is Studying Arabic (I’raab, quran word for word, conversation etc)  and Qiraat (doing recitation for Nafi’, Abu Amru and Qiraat 10) as well as memorization in Sanaam Program as well.  

Sister Suniza completed recitation for Imam Asim (Syubah & Hafs). 

She Joined Marjan Teacher’s Training in 2018. Enjoyed every single detail taught by the respectful teacher while making sure we always want to strike for the best. 

She’s known for her appreciation of details, being meticulous, organized, helpful and a spatial/visual learner & teacher.  Believed in simplifying knowledge into graphic is leading into better understanding. Master the knowledge before teaching.

She worked as a secretary for 8  years. Last job –  personal assistant to a business director. She has also designed & tailored neat abaya / hijab under own label ‘Different by Design’  for own use and friends. Being a tailor for almost 10 years  while being a biblioholic. It was an earlier interest before exploring Al Quran become one, especially Qiraat.

Sister Safrida Hamid

Sister Safrida is originally from Indonesia, now staying in Qatar already have been for 6 years. 

Took Course  for Tajweed from Markaz in Doha and completing her Teachers Training for tajweed in Feb 2020 by Marjan. 

She just finished her full recitation of Hafs an A’sheem at Markas Fatayat Mustaqbal in Doha. 

Now, she is still Learning Quranic Arabic in Markaz Maryam.

And she is also a Teacher at Indonesian community center of Learning Al Quran for kids and teenager. 

Now online, she still teaches some Indonesian (adults and kids). 

She graduated from electrical engineering and worked for ministry of industry in Jakarta before accompanying her husband to qatar at 2014.

Sister Juwairiyah Khan

Sister Juwairia is originally from Pune, India and now living in brighton, England. 

She has graduated as an IT Engineer Alhamdulillah. She holds an Ijaza in recitation as per Hafs an ‘Assim & Shu’bah an ‘Assim. 

Sis Juwairiyah is a certified teacher of the Nourania by Al-Furqan group, from HQ in Jeddah (inspiring story). 

She is also one of the founder member of CQC (Center for Quran Classes). 

She has been teaching the Nooraniyah and Qur’an from the last 7 years alhamulillah and is pursuing her Qur’aanic studies.

Sister Azizah Ashraff Ali

Sister Azizah is from Malaysia, living in Doha, Qatar. 

She is certified by Ministry of Awqaf, Doha, Qatar for teaching Qur’an

She holds the following certifications: Qaeda Nourania (Qatari and Saudi) , Da’iyah Teacher- المعلمة الداعیة’, Abdullah Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Centre, Doha Qatar

Sister Azizah is in process of acquiring Ijazah in the different Qiraat Al Kisaey and Khalaf – the tenth 

She has teaching experience at different centers and online (both in English and Malay languages), teaching teens & adults: tajweed, Quran Recitation, Hifdh

Started teaching in the year 2014.

Sister Azizah is a Volunteer Teacher in KAFA,Doha,Qatar

Sister Fakeha Imran

 is one of the teachers at Marjan. She is a Pakistani residing in Qatar where she obtained the ijaza for Qaida Noorania from Markz Maryam and Fatayat Al Mustaqbil. She also has an ijaza from Furqan centre in Jeddah and an ijaza in Muqadamah tul jazariya. She has previously taught Qaida in Fanar for 4 years and online in Azhar ul Jannah (Sirlankan-based Quran Academy) for 1 year. Her students were of different nationalities-mostly Philipino, Pakistani and Indian. She took a tajweed teacher training course with Sister Samar in Ahmed Bin Ali Markaz. She is currently memorizing Quran in Hafs and Shuba qira. 

Sister Deemah Abd Al-Rahman

Sister Deemah is a Palestinian Egyptian who was born in 1986. She studied Mass Communication Department, Journalism Section (2008). She had two Diplomas in Islamic studies (2015) (2018). She took courses in Islamic translation texts, Ulum Al Quraan. Teaching Al Nooraniyah and character building. 

Sister Deemah had Ijazah with Sanad, in Al-Jazaryyah and in Tuhfat Al Atfaal. She holds Ijazah in the recitation of Asim.

She used to be a researcher then shifted career to business until became a Business Manager (2013). For now, she is a Quraan and Tajweed Teacher at KIU since 2014, and at Marjan Programs since 2020.

Sister SAIMA FIRFIRE

Sister Saima Firfire is based in Pune, India. She is a Microbiologist and holds a Diploma in Laboratory techniques Alhamdulillah. 

She is ambitious, well determined, calm and generous by nature. Her passion for learning and seeking Islamic knowledge has motivated her to pursue several courses online.

She is currently in 4th year of BAIS from Knowledge International University(KIU) and has previously completed two levels of Qur’anic Arabic. She has recently joined Spoken Arabic course and has finished word for word translation of Juz 1 with a local teacher. 

She aims to excel in Qur’anic sciences and Arabic language.

She has been actively participating as a volunteer for Various Ramadan and Hajj workshops under Al-Falah charitable trust since 2015.

She is also a volunteer and member of  Initiative for peace and Harmony (IPH) (Sisters Team), an organization that focuses on helping the Ummah.

She joined Marjan Programs in August 2020 and serves as an Marjan Program Admin. Alhamdulillah.
